زلزله هفته‌ای دو بار تهران را می‌لرزاند؛
آسیب‌پذیری تهران در برابر زلزله
عزیزالله رجب‌زاده، رئیس سازمان پیشگیری و مدیریت بحران شهر تهران، با بیان این‌که امروز گزارشی را به شورای اسلامی شهر تهران ارائه می‌کنیم، گفت: این گزارش در‌خصوص اقدامات سازمان در زمینه پیشگیری، آمادگی، اطلاع‌رسانی و آموزش و بالابردن آگاهی مردم هنگام وقوع حوادث است

رئیس سازمان پیشگیری و مدیریت بحران شهر تهران در پاسخ به این پرسش که در صورت بروز زلزله چه میزان آمادگی دارید، گفت: در تلاش هستیم که امکانات بالقوه را بالفعل و از حداکثر توان خود استفاده کنیم. او با بیان این‌که اقدامات پیشگیرانه خوبی صورت گرفته است، گفت: در زمینه آموزش نیز برنامه‌ریزی‌های لازم انجام شده است.
رجب‌زاده ادامه داد: هفته‌ای یک یا دو زلزله خفیف در تهران رخ می‌دهد و در برخی از زمان‌ها در ماه سه تا چهار زلزله خفیف رخ می‌دهد. رئیس سازمان پیشگیری و مدیریت بحران شهر تهران به بافت‌های فرسوده شهر تهران اشاره کرد و گفت: بافت‌های فرسوده باید نوسازی و شریان‌های حیاتی باید ایمن‌سازی شوند.
او ادامه داد: بافت‌های تهران فرسوده است و در صورت وقوع زلزله خسارت قابل‌ملاحظه است اما نمی‌توانیم بگوییم چقدر تلفات می‌دهیم. رئیس سازمان پیشگیری و مدیریت بحران شهر تهران تاکید کرد که آسیب‌پذیری تهران در برابر زلزله بسیار بالاست.
رجب‌زاده با بیان این‌که سامانه‌ای ایجاد کرده‌ایم که در پنج دقیقه اول وقوع زلزله، خسارات و تلفات ناشی از آن را اعلام می‌کند، گفت: با توجه به این سامانه می‌توانیم بگوییم در هر نقطه از شهر چند دقیقه بعد از وقوع زلزله چقدر تلفات داشته‌ایم.
