بارسلونا، اسپانیا؛ آفتابی‌ترین نمونه شهر سبز

در بارسلونای آفتابی، از زمان بازی‌های المپیک سال ۲۰۰۴ به بعد، یک دوره مفصل بازسازی‌ شهری برای کلانشهر زیبای اسپانیایی آغاز شد. دولت محلی درحال‌حاضر با ایجاد یک استراتژی نوین توسعه در اندیشه لحاظ کردن تئوری‌های معماری سبز و پایداری است. به همین دلیل است که امروزه بیش از ۳۶۰ هزار اصله درخت در امتداد خیابان‌های بارسلونا، همراه با صدها ساختمان مجهز به سلول‌های خورشیدی، صف کشیده‌اند.‌ از سال ۲۰۰۰ به بعد، هر ساختمانی که بازسازی یا ساخته شد، ملزم بود حداقل ۶۰ درصد از آب گرم مصرفی‌اش را از طریق منابع انرژی خورشیدی تأمین کند. علاوه بر این، مدیریت شهری، پیاده‌روی در مرکز شهر را با ایجاد ده‌ها کیلومتر خیابان‌هایی بدون اتومبیل یا همان پیاده‌راه‌ها تشویق می‌کند. معروف‌ترین زون پیاده در بارسلونا، لارامبلا است که ۲/۱ کیلومتر طول دارد. این شهر شانس آن را دارد که از ۲۸۰۰ ساعت آفتاب در هر سال بهره‌مند شود؛ بنابراین در آینده نزدیک حتماً سرمایه‌گذاری‌های عظیم‌تری در زمینه کارخانه‌های خورشیدی خواهد کرد. مشخص است که تبدیل بارسلونا به یکی از سبزترین شهرهای اروپا صرفا یک ایده نیست، بلکه هدفی کاملا روشن و دست‌یافتنی برای مقامات محلی آن است.
